School Bus Rules
Code of Conduct
Arms, Legs, Faces - Never stick arms, head or any part of your body out the windows.
Crossing the Road – When students are crossing the road, either to board the bus or after getting off of the bus, if the bus’s red lights are flashing, they MUST wait for the driver’s cue.
Sitting on the seats - If your bottom isn’t on a seat while the bus is moving, you’re in danger! If you must stand, or move to another seat, it must take less than 5 seconds.
Horse Play - No climbing over the seats, no knees on the bus seats and feetare never allowed on the seats.
Aisles - Aisles must be kept clear, especially of objects like back-packs, shoes, etc.
RED ZONE - Students are forbidden from using the aisle from the third row of seats to the front of the bus while the bus is moving. This is the RED ZONE - the danger zone. If they must enter this zone while the bus is moving, they need permission from the driver who must be aware of them moving into this area.
Students getting off the bus – It is very important that students be prepared to walk up the aisle the moment the bus stops at their house.
