Governance of the School
London Christian Elementary School, owned and operated by the parent community, is run by an elected board. The board committees and their mandates are listed below.
The Education Committee:
oversees the educational program of the school.
The Long Range Planning Committee:
oversees, with the Board, the implementation of a long range plan for the school, addressing its purpose, long-term objectives, infrastructure requirements, community and financial resources and accountability.
The Finance Committee:
is responsible for supervising the financial operation of the school.
The Building Committee:
looks after the maintenance of the school and property and suggests building improvements.
The Transportation Committee:
is responsible for maintaining the school’s buses, arranging bus routes and hiring drivers.
The Promotion Committee:
promotes the school and its programs and introduces the school to interested families.
The Fund Raising Committee:
plans and supervises various fund-raising projects throughout the year.
The Future Facilities Committee:
oversees, with the support of the community, plans for the expansion of the school.
